KGB: fugitives’ terrorist cells being prepared in Poland with GROM military unit assistance
Terrorist cells from among the fugitives are being prepared in Poland with the participation of the GROM military unit – as stated by Konstantin Bychek, the Head of the Investigation Department at Belarus’ State Security Committee (KGB) in his talk with the ONT TV channel, BelTA reports
“The Committee [of State Security] has received reliable data that some of the participants of [illegal armed] formations are being trained on the territory of the Republic of Poland with the direct participation of the GROM military unit,” Mr. Bychek said.
According to the Head of the KGB Investigation Department, the Polish authorities were informed about this in the line of countering international terrorism. “Unfortunately, the only response to this has been an increase in the level of conspiracy on the part of the members of these terrorist cells. Thus, the Polish authorities recommended them to legalise under the guise of airsoft clubs, as well as to limit the distribution of propaganda information in public access,” Mr. Bychek emphasised.
