KGB Chief: West preparing occupation administrations for Belarus
Puppet structures are being formed in Vilnius, Warsaw, Kiev, other capitals and regions of Western states following the example of Nazi Germany, and they are involved in projects to overthrow the current government in Belarus – as stated by the Chairman of the State Security Committee of Belarus, Ivan Tertel, during the 7th Belarusian People's Congress
Ivan Tertel noted that the KGB archive materials show that old destructive methods of the West against Belarus are used, but they are modified taking into account modern realities.
“Puppet structures are being formed in Vilnius, Warsaw, Kiev, other capitals and regions of Western states following the example of Nazi Germany, and they are involved in projects to overthrow the current government in Belarus. If the plans are successfully implemented, they are supposed to be used as an occupation administration to manage the territory and population of our country. Over $60 million has been allocated for their financing by American, German, Polish and some other funds (more than 65 in total) acting as ‘pads’ for foreign special services this year alone. The funds are used to maintain subversive centres, plan and implement information and psychological operations against the leadership and population of the Republic of Belarus, organise cyber attacks at important infrastructure facilities, ministries and departments, recruit and organise the work of extremist and terrorist groups inside our country and illegal armed formations operating in neighbouring Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine,” the KGB Chief informed.
