Israel reports death of Hamas Political Bureau chairman

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) press service reported on October 17th that Yahya Sinwar, chairman of the Hamas Political Bureau was killed the day before during an IDF raid in the south of Gaza, TASS informs

“IDF and Israel Security Agency confirm that Yahya Sinwar was neutralised on October 16th, 2024, after a year-long manhunt. Soldiers of the Southern Military District killed him during an operation in the south of the Gaza strip,” reported the press service.
