Interior Ministry: operational situation under control in Belarus
The operational situation in Belarus remains under control, with no sharp shifts, while the Interior Ministry bodies focus in their work primarily on crime prevention – as reported by Interior Minister Ivan Kubrakov during his today’s meeting with the President
Commenting on the operational situation in the country and development of the system of internal affairs bodies, Mr. Kubrakov also touched upon the issue of organising the work of district inspectors. According to him, their work has been improved.
“We have returned to the Soviet practice when a police inspector worked with citizens locally. There was a time when we moved away from that, but control points of public order protection now operate countrywide, and local police inspectors necessarily work there. We have determined the days and informed people – so that everyone knows when senior district police officers meet with citizens. Local police inspectors focus in their work on the residential sector now,” Mr. Kubrakov said.
