Indonesian President Joko Widodo: geopolitical conflicts threaten economic security

The existing geopolitical conflicts threaten energy, food and economic security, and global climate changes also pose a threat – as stated by Indonesian President Joko Widodo in his address to the G20 Parliamentary Speakers’ Summit participants in Jakarta, TASS reports

“We must unite in the face of these global problems. We need to tame our ego and strive to remove the inequality that exists between us in order to contribute to improving the economic situation and more effectively get out of the existing economic crisis,” Joko Widodo said, adding that the G20 parliamentary leaders represent the peoples and should become ‘a kind of bridge to peace, to development of dialogue and negotiation process’.
