India said the country is neither pro-Western, no anti-Western
Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said that the state is not a Western country and at the same time it is not an anti-Western one, and it seeks to develop relations with different countries of the world, TASS reports
Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said that, although India is a member of the BRICS, it is ‘not against the West’, which remains its important partner in the field of investment, tourism or mobility. The politician added that India can have equally strong ties with both the United States and Russia, based on its national interests.
The Foreign Minister noted the importance of the country having ‘true friends’ among other states.
