In January-September 2024, foreign investors injected $5.4bn into Belarus’ economy
In the first nine months of 2024, foreigners invested $5.4bn in the real sector of the economy, sb.by reports with reference to the National Statistical Committee
Business entities from Russia (accounting for 69.7 percent of all incoming investments), Cyprus (7.8 percent), and the United Arab Emirates (6.8 percent) were the main investors. Foreign direct investments totalled $4bn (73.7 percent of all incoming foreign investments).
In January-September 2024, Belarus’ organisations directed $3.6bn of investments abroad. Significant volumes were sent to business entities in Russia: 90.2 percent. The share of direct investments accounted for 79.9 percent of the total amount.
