Hyundai tested air taxi prototype in Indonesia

Hyundai Motor Corporation from South Korea conducted successful tests of a ‘flying taxi’ in Indonesia, TASS reports

The Nikkei Asia edition reports that the device is capable of flying at an altitude of 50-80m, as well as accelerating up to 200 km/h. The ‘flying taxi’ model accommodates a pilot and three passengers.

It is reported that tests took place at the Samarinda airport, next to the new Indonesian capital under construction, Nusantara.

The Indonesian authorities intend to launch an air taxi by 2030.
