Head of Belarus’ NOC on Children of Asia Games: young Belarusian athletes very motivated
Before the start of the Children of Asia Games in Yakutsk, young Belarusian athletes are very motivated, determined to claim medals and to perform well – as stated by Viktor Lukashenko, the President of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus, at a meeting with Vladimir Maksimov, the President of the Children of Asia International Committee, sb.by reports with reference to the NOC press service
The Head of Belarus’ NOC thanked for the warm and cordial welcome of the entire Belarusian delegation, underlining special importance of holding competitions of this level for the development of youth sports in the Asian region and far beyond its borders.
“The Children of Asia Games are a great competitive platform for children: a large number of sports are represented here, and we also expect high competition. Our sports teams are very motivated. We’ve arrived to earn medals and are determined to compete. Young athletes can show their mettle in Yakutsk and get a unique experience, enabling them to decide whether to link their future fate with big sports. Competitions of such a high level in this age category are very important for the development of youth sports in the Asian region and far beyond its borders,” the President of Belarus’ NOC said.
Viktor Lukashenko and Vladimir Maksimov also discussed the organisation of the upcoming competitions. Both sides expressed their support for this project, and the Belarusian side is ready to further contribute to increasing sports competition and entertainment of the Games.
