“Unfortunately, we are now seeing the dynamics when the special services of other states – the Anglo-Saxons, Ukrainian special services, Polish and so on – use our citizens to commit crimes both in Belarus and in the territory of the Russian Federation to a greater extent,” Andrei Ananenko noted.

According to him, this refers to Belarusian citizens who manage to be provoked into committing serious crimes. Such people are found via the Internet.

“When these people are found, they are given a specific task. They head to carry out terrorist attacks on critical infrastructure, as a rule, these are railways, enterprises, and so on,” Andrei Ananenko added.

He stated that as this work is carried out via the Internet and messengers, to some extent, it complicates the work of Belarusian law enforcement officers. However, the latter have significantly improved their professional skills over the past four years.

“Given the challenges and threats that have changed in four years, taking into account the special military operation, respectively, we are also learning, for example, to identify and investigate. We are working to detect individuals via Telegram and other messengers,” Andrei Ananenko underlined.
