Golovchenko presented state awards to representatives of various professions
On behalf of the Head of State, Belarus’ Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko presented well-deserved state awards to more than fifty representatives of various professions, with the solemn ceremony taking place at the Palace of the Republic in Minsk
“The fact that today’s event is taking place on the eve of our main state holiday – Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus Special – adds special solemnity to it,” said Roman Golovchenko in his speech. “This holiday symbolises freedom, strength and unity of our country. It also serves as a reminder of how difficult it is to gain independence and how important it is to preserve it. The opportunity to live in a sovereign state, independently determine the course of foreign and domestic policy based on one’s own interests is an exceptional value and the most important achievement of the Belarusian people.”
The PM stressed that each of those present in the hall makes a significant contribution to strengthening our independence with their daily conscientious work, “From such small but very valuable ‘bricks’ a stable, modern, sovereign Belarus is being formed, confidently looking into the future,” underlined Roman Golovchenko.
People of various professions gathered in the ceremonial hall. There were especially many workers of the industrial sector among the awarded.
“The industry is working stably. For January-June 2023, the index of industrial production is forecasted at a level of more than 112 percent, and the export growth rate is 123 percent,” Roman Golovchenko said.
The awards were also presented to workers of education and science, managers at various levels, employees of the financial and tax services, builders, workers of the transport and petrochemical industries, as well as representatives of the creative intelligentsia.
