Golovchenko met with Foreign Minister of Oman
Upon arrival in Oman, Belarus’ Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko held a brief meeting with Oman's Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, BelTA reports
"We are very pleased to visit Oman by invitation. This is the first visit to Oman at the level of the Head of Government," Mr. Golovchenko said. He also recalled that President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko visited the country in 2007.
The PM noted that relations between Belarus and Oman were developing very dynamically. Many events have taken place in the world in recent years, and among them are a pandemic, political and economic crises. During Mr. Golovchenko’s visit to Oman, issues of developing co-operation in new conditions are planned for discussion.
The Prime Minister of Belarus is paying an official visit to Oman on October 13th-14th, and a number of important meetings are scheduled: with the Crown Prince and Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, and Chairman of the State Council AbdulMalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili. A large package of documents will be signed following the visit.
On October 15th-16th, Mr. Golovchenko will make a working visit to Pakistan, where important meetings are also planned. The Prime Minister is expected to participate in a sitting of the Council of the Heads of Government of the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation.
