Golovchenko: Belarus and Bashkortostan can achieve $1bn in trade
Belarus and Bashkortostan may achieve $1bn in trade turnover – as Belarus’ Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko told journalists following his meeting with the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov
“We are moving towards this goal. I will not say that by leaps and bounds, but confident enough. We have enough projects enabling us to reach this milestone. Companies, businesses and officials are motivated to reach these milestones and today we are convinced of this. Our interaction is multifaceted, and our co-operation projects are being developed.”
In turn, Radiy Khabirov said that during the meeting the parties found new areas for liaisons.
“We’ve agreed that our co-operation programmes should be long-term. In particular, we are talking about the supply of equipment. Moreover, we have outlined a new point of contact: machine tool building. Our enterprises are experiencing a shortage of machine tools and we need to create a joint powerful machine tool cluster.”
