Gifts from Presidential Sports Club: Dmitry Lukashenko congratulated orphanage children

The Chairman of the Central Council of the Presidential Sports Club, Dmitry Lukashenko, has taken part in Our Children campaign and congratulated boys and girls of the children's social orphanage in Borisov on New Year's holidays, BelTA reports

According to Natalia Grin who heads the social orphanage, 34 children stay here. “Each of them has their own destiny, but they are all happy and glad when guests come. Parents also come sometimes, and I insist that it is necessary to make the wishes of our children come true. The most important thing for them is to return home as soon as possible, to stay with their families," she is convinced.

A rich New Year's Eve programme was prepared for children. Not only Dmitry Lukashenko came together with his wife and daughter, but also the popular heroes of the New Year: Father the Frost and Snow Maiden. They invited boys and girls to participate in a wide variety of games, and children responded with enthusiasm. They enjoyed dancing and singing festive songs, and were joined by Dmitry Lukashenko and his family.

As noted by Dmitry Lukashenko's wife, Anna, it was decided to change the format of the holiday. "We have been participating in Our Children campaign for many years, and we have thought that it's a little wrong when children prepare some performances. With the help of our friends, we organise festive New Year's Eve shows for boys and girls – also cheering ourselves up with positive emotions. We are happy to participate in the holiday," Anna Lukashenko said.

Each child was traditionally given a sweet gift. In addition, the orphanage received sports equipment from the Presidential Sports Club: balls, table tennis rackets, jump ropes, and many more. "Happy New Year, boys and girls. I want to wish you happiness, kindness and good luck, so that people who are close to you feel a certain return," Dmitry Lukashenko congratulated children.
