French politician: using profits from Russia’s frozen assets is theft

Leader of France’s Patriots party Florian Philippot views the European Union’s plans to use revenues generated by frozen Russian state assets as theft, TASS reports

“Paris intends to send twelve Caesar self-propelled artillery pieces to Kiev at the expense of profits from Russian assets. This is stealing money from Russia, in violation of all principles of international law,” the politician wrote on X.

Florian Philippot is convinced that continuing hostilities ‘means a death sentence for thousands more Ukrainians’.

“It is time to stop this disgrace,” he stressed. “Ukraine should no longer receive money or weapons. It is necessary to withdraw from NATO.”
