French army declared readiness for combat operations

French Army Chief of Staff, General Pierre de Villiers, said the country’s army is ready to participate in hostilities and defend itself, if necessary, TASS reports

Pierre de Villiers noted that France is ready ‘virtually from today’ to join the battle to protect the French people and the interests of the country.

According to him, 20,000 French troops are ready. Part of the French military is involved in the operations in Lebanon, Iraq, Estonia, and Romania. In addition, French instructors participate in the training of Ukrainians in France or Poland.
