Foreign representatives on their visit to Belarus’ Defenсe Ministry annual briefing in Minsk
The Chief of the International Military Co-operation Department, Assistant to the Defence Minister for International Military Co-operation, Colonel Valery Revenko, hold the annual briefing for 28 representatives of the military-diplomatic corps accredited to the Ministry of Defence of Belarus in Minsk. The approaches to the military policy laid down in the draft of the updated Military Doctrine of Belarus were highlighted for the participants, and information on the directions of the construction and development of the Armed Forces was updated.
Defence Attaché at the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus (concurrently) Major General Wael El-Essawi noted that he would like to return to Belarus on another visit.
“First of all, I would like to thank the Belarusian side for the organised visit and the hospitable land. Also, many thanks to the defence department for the visit to the Kamenny Log state border crossing. We were able to get acquainted with all aspects of the work. The briefing itself was also held at a high level,” the Major General stated.
Defence Attaché at the Embassy of Zambia in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus (concurrently) Brigadier General Clement Jere focused on the visit to the state border between Belarus and Lithuania during the visit to Minsk.
“This trip turned out to be very fruitful, because the protection of the state border always allows maintaining the sovereignty and security of the state. We got acquainted with the work of the border crossing, the work of the border service agencies, we saw firsthand how they perform their tasks. In addition, we studied how the canine service works within the framework of protecting the state border. I think it was a very good experience for us. I can also note that I will be able to use a lot of what I saw during my visit to Belarus in our homeland,” the Brigadier General noted.
Defence Attaché at the Embassy of the Italian Republic in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus (concurrently) Captain 1st Rank Vittorio Parrella thanked the Belarusian military department for the invitation.
“I was very glad to attend the briefing, I am grateful to the Ministry of Defence for such an opportunity. All the events turned out to be interesting for me, and were also well organised. I am very happy to be back in Belarus, a beautiful and very hospitable country. I look forward to the next opportunity to come here, as I am constantly in Moscow now,” the Captain 1st Rank stated.
