Foreign Ministry, Red Cross signed joint action plan
Belarus’ Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik and the Head of the Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to Belarus, Sebastian Fustier, have signed a plan of joint activities of state and other organisations of the Republic of Belarus and the ICRC for the current year – as sb.by was reported in the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry
This plan is aimed at co-ordinating the actions of the Belarusian state bodies and the ICRC. The document envisages projects on the implementation of international humanitarian law by state bodies and organisations of the Republic of Belarus, support for the capabilities of the Belarusian Red Cross in emergency preparedness and response, as well as dissemination of knowledge about the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
The ICRC is an international humanitarian organisation, founded in 1863 in Switzerland, which acts on the basis of the principles of neutrality and impartiality, providing protection and assistance to victims of armed conflicts. It is an integral part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
