Foreign ministers of Belarus, Iran met in Tehran on the eve of Lukashenko's official visit
On the eve of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Belarus to the Islamic Republic of Iran, a meeting was held in Tehran between foreign ministers Sergei Aleinik and Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry reports
The foreign ministers discussed the state and dynamics of the development of bilateral relations, paying special attention to the practical implementation of Belarusian-Iranian projects, also focusing on an action plan for the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties.
The constructive nature of the Minsk-Tehran interaction, as well as the need to intensify bilateral contacts, were emphasised. The sides exchanged views on the most promising areas of trade, economic and investment co-operation. Joint steps were identified to further strengthen the Belarusian-Iranian dialogue in areas of mutual interest.
