First Deputy Industry Minister: Belarus’ industrial products supplied to 150 countries

Products of the Industry Ministry enterprises are supplied to 150 countries around the world – as informed by Belarus’ First Deputy Industry Minister, Aleksandr Ogorodnikov

“Since 2016, the volume of industrial production has increased 1.5 times. Exports of products of the Industry Ministry enterprises has increased more than 2 times since 2016,” Mr. Ogorodnikov said.

According to the First Deputy Industry Minister, more than 385 thousand units of various trucks have been produced in Belarus since 2000, “We have produced 242 thousand passenger cars, more than 18 thousand buses, more than 22 million refrigerators, more than 1 million 100 thousand tractors, more than 19 million televisions, almost 22 thousand combines.”

Mr. Ogorodnikov said that innovative products in the total production volume amounted to 46.5 percent in 202. “Actually, we completely change the model range of our industrial products every two years. At the same time, exports of high-tech products accounted for 80 percent of the total sales abroad,” he noted, adding that $6.5bn of products were delivered to foreign markets last year. “These are the best figures over the last decade.”
