Expert: Union State programmes gave powerful stimulus to the development of Belarus’ economy
Thanks to the Union State programmes, the Belarusian economy began to develop more actively – as noted by political scientist Vadim Yelfimov in his talk with Belarus 1 TV channel
The expert drew attention to the fact that Belarusians have already experienced the results of the Union State programmes.
“People have work, and it’s growing all the time. This is the most important thing for a working person. Union State programmes have definitely given a powerful stimulus to the development of the Belarusian economy. I won’t give specific numbers, but I can note that industrial production has jumped sharply. You can feel it. I talk with labour teams of large enterprises, and I feel positivity and good spirit everywhere,” noted Vadim Yelfimov.
The political scientist believes that the work of the Union State programmes and the active development of the economies of Russia and Belarus is primarily the merit of Belarus’ leader Aleksandr Lukashenko and his Russian colleague Vladimir Putin.
“What would we have without our leaders? We understand perfectly well that both Lukashenko and Putin are two locomotives that drive the Union State construction and the economy of our states in every sense. The two presidents do not just set the tone; they provide specific directions. Presidents search and find the entire range of tasks and resources that can be attracted. Without the two presidents, everything would go much slower,” Vadim Yelfimov underlined.
