Expert said that entire collective West failed in counteroffensive

The counteroffensive of the collective West against Russia failed – as noted by Aleksei Avdonin, an analyst with the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies, in his talk with Alfa Radio

First of all, he noted that it’s necessary to use the correct terminology: to speak not about the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but about the counteroffensive of the collective West’s forces.

“The equipment is western, the training of the personnel [of the Armed Forces of Ukraine] took place in NATO schools, instructors and mercenaries are also foreign,” the expert listed. “That is, in fact, the entire collective West tried to organise a counteroffensive in order to cut off the Crimea, try to reach the Sea of Azov and cut it off. But, as we see, the entire collective West failed in the counteroffensive. Not the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but the entire collective West. Now they just don’t know what to do. This is similar to the encirclement of Paulus’ at Stalingrad. They expected victory, but nothing happened.”

Discussing what will happen next, the political analyst stated that the West will probably continue to invest in military operations for the time being. But, in fact, it doesn’t make any sense, and many Europeans have already begun to see things clearly. “Europe is tired of this topic. Europeans are actively turning to various anti-war protests and understand that the deterioration of their well-being is directly related to the conflict that the West has kindled on the territory of Ukraine,” said Aleksei Avdonin.

“The entire Ukrainian people became a hostage to the plans that the collective West has built. It was Ukraine that was chosen as the ram of the Russian Federation. Those in the West were guided by the fact that the conflict would lead to a sharp deterioration in the Russian economy, its isolation – and subsequently it would be easy for them to carry out some kind of ‘velvet revolution’ in the Russian Federation and bring politicians loyal to themselves there to power. But that did not happen, and now the boomerang is flying towards the collective West. They are trying to avoid it, to somehow veil it for their audience. But we are well aware that the world, the political map, the security system in our region after the special military operation will be completely different. Washington will no longer determine the security system in Europe,” the expert concluded.
