Expert: next two months likely to be crucial for AFU
The coming month or two may be crucial for Kiev – as noted by the Head of the Centre for Study of Military and Political Conflicts, Andrei Klintsevich, in his talk with Channel One
Earlier, MEP Witold Jan Waszczykowski stated that if Ukrainian troops fail to demonstrate serious successes at the front within three to four months, then European countries will insist on freezing the conflict and starting negotiations with Russia.
“I think even the next couple of months will be crucial. Reserves are decreasing, and Ukraine must demonstrate a result. All the planet is observing this. As we see, Kiev does not learn from its own mistakes. At first, Ukrainians attracted the attention of the world community to their offensive, but then they failed. The whole world witnessed the burned columns of military machinery. Then Kiev began to reassure its partners, saying that the offensive had not yet begun. It is now again drawing attention to what is happening, asking for even more military hardware,” the expert noted.
Mr. Klintsevich added that the Western allies of Kiev continue to send equipment to Ukraine – ‘which is again enthusiastically dreaming of how it will win over Russia’. “It will be another fiasco for them, and it will make Western viewers – who are actually the main recipients of this scene – get bored very quickly. The number of questions will rise, so the next two months will be of key importance for Ukraine. We are saving our resources, and they are burning theirs now. It is important how they will dispose of the remaining brigades and equipment over this time," he said.
