Expert explained whom Zelensky will blame for defeat of Ukraine
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky will likely blame the United States for any defeats suffered by Ukrainian forces on the front lines – as noted by military expert, Andrei Klintsevich, the Head of the Centre for the Study of Military and Political Conflicts (Russia), in his talk with Channel One
Andrei Klintsevich stated that Zelensky has repeatedly complained that Ukraine's allies are not providing enough support.
“Zelensky has already appointed them as the culprits for the failures of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU). He said that everything that is happening at the front is due to insufficient assistance. In fact, the Americans have indeed abandoned and deceived Ukraine. Zelensky expected to receive $50bn, and Kyiv was counting on it. They didn't get anything. The aid is being delayed and it's unclear when it will arrive. That's why there are failures everywhere: in terms of weapons, money, construction of fortifications, and so on,” the expert added.
Andrei Klintsevich stressed that some weapons will still be delivered, but the Ukrainian army has already suffered a serious psychological breakdown.
“But there has also been a breakdown among Western financial circles. After Kyiv's defeat in Avdeevka, there was a sense of despondency. It will be difficult for Zelensky to prove that his troops are combat-ready and that the allies should provide more weapons to Ukraine. <...> Zelensky will blame everyone around him, but not himself or his command,” the expert concluded.
