Expert explained who benefits from trade war between EU, China

The introduction of additional duties by the European Union on imports of Chinese-made electric vehicles is beneficial to Americans, but not to the EU – as noted by political expert Piotr Peter Petrovsky in his talk with Alfa Radio

The EU countries earlier voted on the introduction of additional duties on imports of Chinese-made electric vehicles. “There is no closed-loop manufacturing of electric vehicles in the European Union, since the EU lacks the necessary minerals and rare earth metals,” the expert noted, adding that the proposal to expand duties had come from Washington.

“There are only two countries in the world with closed-loop manufacturing of electric vehicles: China and the United States. Who is losing in this case? It is the European automobile industry that is tied to China. We look at BMW, Audi, Volkswagen and other electric cars and understand that, although their design may have been developed in Germany, the vehicles themselves have been made in China, or at least they use Chinese electric accumulators,” Mr. Petrovsky added.

Actually, as noted by radio programme presenter Polina Konoga, the system of international law has actually collapsed, and everyone does what they wish – without referring to any laws, including economy-related ones.

“Look at how many trade wars have already been waged against us,” the expert continued. “The question arises as to how sovereign the European Union is if it is ready to lobby for the imposition of sanctions against its strategically important partner. What will happen? Americans will be forced to buy electric components for BMW, Audi, Volkswagen not in China, but in the United States. It is a very clear scheme: Americans want to make European automobile industry subordinate to them, or even destroy it all.”
