Ex-Google CEO said outcome of future wars will depend on drones and AI
Eric Schmidt, an American billionaire and former Google CEO, said that the low cost of production and high efficiency of automated unmanned strike systems will soon make traditional forms of warfare, including tanks and artillery, obsolete, TASS reports
According to Eric Schmidt, drone warfare, ‘which represents the future of conflict, will eventually force everyone to get rid of tanks, artillery and mortars’. He noted that if we look at the tactics of drone warfare, we will see that it is changing every day. Mr. Schmidt stressed that a $5,000 drone can destroy a $5 million tank.
As the American billionaire added, the use of drones has completely changed the nature of warfare in Ukraine, where ‘cheap FPV drones remain the dominant means of defeating both manpower and equipment’.
