European Parliament representatives reported to be permanently present in Ukraine
The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, said that the EP and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine signed a memorandum of understanding, which will allow organising the permanent presence of its representatives in Kiev, TASS reports
Roberta Metsola noted that this document is ‘an important and symbolic step to strengthen relations’. According to her, this is also a practical way through which the European Parliament will help Ukraine prepare for membership. The partnership will be strengthened by the decision to ensure a permanent presence in Kiev, she assured.
It is also reported that the European Parliament fully supports the continuation of assistance to Ukraine. In this regard, Ms. Metsola called on the EU countries to agree on the allocation of 50bn Euros to Kiev for 2024-2027 as soon as possible.
