EBRD promised 1.5bn Euros to Ukraine for reconstruction
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has promised Ukraine to allocate 1.5 billion Euros for reconstruction this year – as stated by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, RIA Novosti reports
"This year, the EBRD plans to focus on such areas of work in Ukraine as support for the public and private sector (in particular, support for small and medium-sized businesses), financing of road construction projects, co-operation with cities and communities, as well as support for the energy sector… The bank's pre-planned support portfolio for this year makes 1.5bn Euros," Mr. Shmygal informed.
The Prime Minister also thanked the EBRD for its assistance ‘to the needs of Ukraine in these difficult times’.
