Deputy PM: we really see what is being done in Belarus for happy and comfortable childhood

The unique New Year tradition – held under the President’s patronage for more than a quarter of a century – unites and pleases young Belarusians all over the country, and it has taken a new format this year: boys and girls have arrived to the Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park today to visit the Father the Frost, and many more children could join them in a video format

The charity event – Our Children – has also attracted the leadership of the Council of Ministers, the Belarusian Children's Fund and the Brest Region, who gave it a symbolic start.

The beginning of the long-awaited joyful event – called The Belovezhskaya Post of Kindness by its organisers – turned out to be very warm-hearted. It united children and adults, and Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko emphasised that during the solemn launch. He stressed that New Year holidays are among the most anticipated and bright, “It is a wonderful day. Together with the whole country, we are launching Our Children campaign in every corner of the Republic of Belarus. Children and adults have joined us, also via a video link, and they are giving a start to the chain of good deeds. This campaign – initiated by President Aleksandr Lukashenko – has been organised in the country for more than 25 years. We really see what is being done for happy and comfortable childhood, and these include new kindergartens, schools, hospitals, and all sort of creative facilities – such as music schools and palaces of culture. All this has been done for the present and future generations, for our children.”

Mr. Petrishenko recalled another heartwarming campaign – From Heart’s Bottom – and urged children and adults to pay attention to the elderly and respected veterans with their sensitive attitude, creativity, sincere and kind deeds. The Deputy Prime Minister wished boys and girls that all their dreams and desires would certainly come true. As he noted, adults will render all possible assistance, “We will always love you, protect you and rejoice in your successes and achievements. Good luck, wonderful action Our Children!”
