Deputy PM: Belarus widely uses additive technologies
Serious attention is paid in Belarus to the introduction of additive technologies in various sectors of the economy – as noted by Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich in his videoconference address to the participants of the 6th Leader Forum held in Moscow
Mr. Karankevich emphasised that, in modern realities, additive technologies – widely known as 3D printing technologies – are one of the key areas of industrial development, and they play a significant role in shaping the economies of the leading countries of the world.
“Currently, it is hardly possible to find a production area with no additive technologies: they are used to manufacture aircraft parts, spacecraft, tools, prostheses and implants, complex parts and components of technological equipment. However, time is the greatest advantage: when using this technology, the process of product development and production is greatly accelerated, work on the introduction of import-substituting industries and strengthening technological sovereignty. Belarus pays considerable attention to the development of additive technologies and their implementation in various sectors of the economy – such as industry and medicine, for example. This work is being carried out by the Belarusian side together with its strategic partner, Rosatom State Corporation. It is one of the promising innovative areas for further mutually beneficial co-operation," Mr. Karankevich noted.
