Deputy Head of President Administration: Lukashenko doing everything to ensure that representatives of national minorities live peacefully in Belarus
President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko is doing everything to ensure that representatives of national minorities live comfortably in the republic – as stated by the Deputy Head of the Belarus President Administration, Olga Chupris, at a recent roundtable discussion: Unity of Peoples as Key to Great Victory. Belarus is Our Common Home
“For 80 years, representatives of national cultures have been living as a single family, in peace and mutual understanding. All conditions have been created in Belarus for this: political, social, and economic. In addition, there is a solid legal basis, and it includes the Constitution, a number of codes, the law on national minorities and other normative legal acts that focus on the issues of preserving national cultures and communities," Ms. Chupris noted.
The Deputy Head of the President Administration stressed that, despite a rather difficult situation, Belarusians rely in all their affairs on the President who has been doing everything for 30 years in office to ensure that representatives of national minorities live peacefully in Belarus.
“The Head of State treats kindly all people who respect Belarus, its traditions and legislation. Over the past five years, the President has granted Belarusian citizenship to more than 80 nationalities. Obviously, against the background of a difficult global situation, many people see Belarus as an island of security for themselves and their families, and the Festival of National Cultures [held in Grodno on June 7th-9th] became another confirmation that, regardless of roots, nationalities, race or religion, we all represent the united, wise and friendly people," Ms. Chupris said.
