Denmark said object discovered near Nord Stream 2 lifted from the bottom
The Danish Energy Agency informed about the completion of the operation to lift an object found near the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, according to the statement published by the department, TASS reports
According to the agency, this object turned out to be a maritime smoke buoy.
“The Danish Energy Agency reports that on March 28th, 2023, work was completed to lift an object adjacent to the Nord Stream 2 pipeline,” the agency said in a statement.
The object is reported not to represent a safety risk. According to the agency, a maritime smoke buoy was used for visual marking.
In turn, the Danish Defence Ministry informed that representatives of Nord Stream 2 AG, the operator of Nord Stream 2, were present during the work.
According to military experts, the object was located at a depth of more than 70m.
