The information published in the book has previously been unknown to the general public, and it will make it possible to assess real scales of the genocide.
As noted by the Prosecutor General's Office, the book has been sent to Western European countries for educational purposes. “We hope that representatives of the ‘Western humanism’ elites – who in between attempts to rewrite history, demolish all monuments to Soviet soldiers-liberators and support those trying to encroach on the sovereignty of Belarus under collaborationist symbols – will show interest in studying the submitted documents. Certain persons will be able to see what sort of ‘heroic deeds’ against the civilian population – defenceless children, women and the elderly – were committed by their grandfathers and great-grandfathers," it stressed.
