Cosmonaut Anastasia Lenkova visited MTZ, where her mother works, and participated in tractor’s assembly
On April 12th, Anastasia Lenkova, the backup cosmonaut of the first female cosmonaut in the history of independent Belarus, Marina Vasilevskaya, visited the Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ) where her mother works, the official Telegram channel of the enterprise reports
“MTZ feels like home for Anastasia Lenkova, as her mother often talks about the enterprise where she has been working for 43 years. Natalia Mandik works in the construction and landscaping workshop. After talking with MTZ Director General Vitaly Vovk, Anastasia Lenkova went to the tractor assembly building, where she assembled BELARUS 82.3 tractor. The guest also visited the MTZ museum and made an entry in the book of honoured guests,” the enterprise said.
The company thanked Anastasia for the emotions and stories she shared with the plant workers, who expressed confidence that her dream of flying into space would definitely come true.
Earlier, MTZ reported that on April 11th, after the meeting with the President, First Deputy Director General of MTZ Sergei Avramenko congratulated Natalia Mandik on the high assessment of the Head of State and thanked her for raising her daughter.
On the eve of Cosmonautics Day, Aleksandr Lukashenko presented cosmonaut Anastasia Lenkova with a special President’s letter of gratitude. The parents of Anastasia Lenkova also received the letters of gratitude from the President.
