Cleaner air in Minsk: MTZ keeps improving its gas treatment facilities
Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ) is going to keep modernising its gas treatment facilities, making them more effective, said corporate paper Tractor.bel citing their environment staff
Industrial production pollutes the air with harmful process emissions, explained Yelena Komissarova, Head of MTZ Environment Department.
“All that is detrimental to the environment and human health. Right now, we are focused on gas treatment facilities at our production sites. Filtering materials have recently been replaced in bag filters in our foundry shop 3,” she said.
According to Ms. Komissarova, that brought the hard particles content in the discharged air down to 50 mg/m3 max, in line with the current emission requirements.
Several more MTZ shops plan to modernise their gas treatment facilities in the immediate future.
