Chinese FM declared close co-ordination with Russia on strategic issues

Russia and China are strategic partners and maintain close communication on issues of mutual interest – as stated at a briefing by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian, commenting on the visit of Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu to China, TASS reports

"China and Russia are comprehensive strategic partners for co-ordination in the new era, both countries maintain close contacts on strategic and common issues of mutual interest," the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry said.

Lin Jian added that, during the visit, ‘in-depth discussion and co-ordination of positions on bilateral relations and issues affecting the strategic interests of both countries’ is planned.
