China urged US to stop space militarisation

China opposes the US actions on space militarisation and demands from the American side to refrain from steps that pose a threat to universal security – as stated by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian, TASS reports

“China has always insisted on the peaceful use of outer space, opposed the arms race and the deployment of weapons in space,” Lin Jian told a press conference, answering a question about what position the Chinese side might take if the Pentagon’s satellite suppression system begins to pose a real threat to China’s space programme. “We insist that the United States stop its irresponsible rhetoric, military expansion and preparations for war in outer space.”
