According to the media, the chip can be used to monitor radiation doses in workplaces associated with the nuclear industry, as well as in everyday life. Due to the fact that the chip is small in size, it can be integrated into various devices such as smartphones and drones.

The chip, developed by China National Nuclear Corporation in the face of a ban on EUV scanners in China, offers a dose rate measurement range for X/γ rays from 100 nSv/h to 10 mSv/h. It can operate within a temperature range from minus 20 to 50 degrees Celsius and boasts ultra-low power consumption of only 1MW.
