CEC Chairman: all conditions to be created for international observers at Belarus’ Presidential election

All conditions will be created for the work of international observers at the Presidential election in Belarus – as informed by the Chairman of the Central Election Commission, Igor Karpenko, in his talk with the ONT TV channel, sb.by reports

“We plan to invite heads and representatives of the CIS central election authorities and also expand the list of them. In addition, a number of other states will be invited – primarily those who are members of the World Association of Electoral Authorities, of which the Republic of Belarus is a member, Mr. Karpenko said.

As noted by Mr. Karpenko, ‘it does not matter for the CEC which organisations to invite and welcome’. “We are ready to accredit all those who will be invited, to create all conditions for them to observe the process,” he said.

The Presidential election in Belarus is scheduled for January 26th, 2025.
