‘A liability’: Harris keeps Biden from taking part in her campaign events

The Axios news portal revealed, citing sources, that Biden’s team has held days open for campaigning, only for Harris' team to let those days pass, and keep promising to ‘get back to them’. There are currently no scheduled events for Harris and Biden to campaign together before the election day, Axios reported.
The news outlet further asserted that Harris’ team considers Biden a political liability, but is reluctant to directly say they don't want him to campaign for her. According to one of their sources, ‘Harris' team and allies respect Biden's service, but are wary of further tying Harris to the unpopular president’.
"He's a reminder of the last four years, not the new way forward," said another person familiar with the situation.
People close to Biden believe Harris' team is underestimating his appeal among certain population groups. They think Biden could be helpful for her in the final stretch.
