CEC: age of Belarusian People’s Congress civil society delegates ranges from 18 to 79
The youngest delegate of the Belarusian People’s Congress from civil society is 18 years old – as stated by the Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Igor Karpenko, at its session on April 16th
“The election of delegates of the Belarusian People’s Congress from civil society was held in accordance with the current legislation and within the time limits set by the calendar plan. A total of 400 delegates were elected. The maximum age of the delegate from civil society is 79, and the minimum age is 18. The spheres of activity of delegates are industry, transport, construction – 69 people, education – 61, healthcare – 25, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry for Emergency Situations, Ministry of Defence, customs – 18, agriculture – 19, housing and communal services, trade, consumer services – 34, culture, banking, media – 33, and others – 141,” Igor Karpenko added.
