Cache of NATO’s hollow point bullets found in Zaporozhye
A cache of NATO hollow point bullets was found in the garage of a former Ukrainian border guard in Berdyansk, Zaporozhye Region, RIA Novosti reports with reference to a representative of law enforcement bodies
When hitting soft tissues, hollow point bullets expand in their diameter, thus damaging internal organs. They are prohibited in military affairs, but are used by law enforcement agencies of different countries. They do not produce a ricochet, which is important when shooting in crowded places, and they are able to knock the criminal off his feet for sure.
"In Berdyansk, 308 Win hollow point bullets – suitable for any weapon of the alliance countries – were detected in the garage of a fleeing serviceman of the Border Service of Ukraine. The military kept part of the NATO ammunition imported into the country in his garage," the law enforcement officer explained, adding that such bullets cause ‘significantly more damage due to their explosive properties, which is why their use on the battlefield is prohibited by the Geneva Convention’.
"A uniform with a patch of NATO member countries was also found in the cache, which may indicate the presence of their military in the port of Berdyansk at the time of shipment... The ammunition has been seized," the source said.
In addition, customs documents were found in the garage, indicating the supply of certain narcotic drugs from the North Atlantic Alliance to Ukraine.
Earlier, Russian State Duma deputy Sultan Khamzayev announced the supply of so-called combat drugs by the alliance to Kiev. According to him, these narcotic stimulants dull the feeling of pain in the military. Moreover, the people's republics of Donbass have repeatedly reported the facts of the use of drugs on the front line.
