Bulba Dance music video premiered
Toe-tapping Bulba Dance (Potato Dance) song by young star Angelina Volkova captured the hearts of music lovers, and its premiere has recently been presented by the ONT TV channel
The video was authored by poet Anna Seluk, whose text is accompanied by the music of Yevgeny Oleinik. Schoolchildren, dancers, athletes, ONT TV presenters, chefs, and children's dance groups took part in the shooting.
Producer and director Yelena Lobach – who previously worked over the ONT’s largest projects such as the Miss Belarus pageant – commented, “The song is so wonderful that there were a lot of ideas on how to shoot a video. We primarily wished to invent a viral dance that everyone could repeat. The video turned out to be very large-scale, as we shot many scenes. The idea to use documentary footage with participation of the President of Belarus was born due to our desire to look deeper into the matter: we say ‘bulba dance’, but actually mean something important and dear, wishing to unite as many people as possible – using potato as a symbol. Our President is, of course, at the head of this association of people who care about native and important things.”
The video authors thanked everyone for their work over the video and also expressed gratitude to the press service of the President of Belarus and personally Natalya Eismont for the documentary materials provided, “We express special gratitude and appreciation to the President of the Republic of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, for his personal example in land husbandry and love for the native land, for supporting the idea of the song and for our beautiful Belarus! Aleksandr Grigoryevich, thank you for everything!”
