According to BSU, the agreement was a logical result of the fruitful inter-university co-operation launched last year.

“The document reaffirms internship conditions for bachelor, master, and post-graduate students from both universities, as well as for teacher and research staff exchanges between BSU and Minas Gerais,” the press service revealed, adding that the agreement also regulates language training issues.

Thanks to the newly-signed agreement, for instance, exchange students from BSU can apply for a free course of Portuguese as a secondary language. The semester-long, opt-in course can be studied in parallel with other disciplines of the student’s choice.

On top of that, the parties have agreed to discuss new forms of education and research co-operation during the upcoming visit of Aziz Saliba, the Minas Gerais University Director for International Relations, to BSU.
