BSPU discussed joint education formats with four Chinese universities

On a visit to China, the mission from the Belarusian State Pedagogical University (BSPU) reached agreements on joint education formats with four PRC universities, the BSPU press service informed


The BSPU mission led by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Aleksandr Makovchik visited higher education institutions of China’s Henan province on December 6th-11th. Their destinations included the Henan University School of Fine Arts, the Henan Finance University, the Luoyang Normal University, and the Zhengzhou Normal University. The mission met Chinese universities’ management and discussed prospects for international co-operation in education programmes for teachers specialising in Music, Visual Arts, Physical Education, and Elementary Education. Various joint education formats were discussed (2+2, 3+1+1, 4+0),” the press service revealed.

The BSPU representatives also met students from specialised schools and institutes in Chinese universities, introducing them to the BSPU education space and giving them a chance to ask the vice-rector and deans questions about the learning opportunities and prospects for joining specific bachelor or master programmes, as well as academic exchange, summer and winter school participation. The hosts introduced the visitors to their education infrastructure, libraries and campuses. BSPU representatives met heads of relevant faculties and schools, outlining promising co-operation areas in the field of academic mobility.

“Partnership agreements concerning student exchange and teacher internship programmes have been reached with all four universities. On top of that, Mr. Makovchik and Zhengzhou Univeristy rector Mr. Zhang Yin signed a framework co-operation agreement on behalf of the two universities. They have agreed to set up a joint institute to implement bachelor and master programmes.
