EDB: consumer inflation in Belarus slowed down in all key areas

Annual inflation in Belarus went down to 5.5 percent in November 2024 after reaching 5.9 percent in October, the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) said in its weekly marcoeconomic review, sb.by reports citing the EDB press service


As the bank informed, inflation in Belarus slowed down for all key consumer basket components.

Year-on-year food price growth stopped at 6.7 percent after reaching 7.2 percent in the prior month, due to a significant deceleration of seasonal vegetable and fruit prices (4.7 percent in November after 11 percent in October). Non-food inflation in November reached 3.7 percent after 4.1 percent the month before.

According to the EDB, the paid services sector also experienced slower inflation: 5.8 percent in November against 6 percent in October.
