On June 29th, in the city of Brasilia, with the participation of President of Brazil Lula da Silva, a presentation of the country’s agricultural development plan – Harvest Plan – was held, where the prospects for the development of the agricultural sector for the next two years were outlined. One of the points of the plan is to create privileged conditions for family farmers, in particular, providing them with affordable, reliable and easy-to-use tractor equipment.

According to the Belarusian embassy, Minister of Agrarian Development and Family Agriculture Paulo Teixeira personally tested the MTZ-152 tractor model in action, publicly expressing the opinion that Belarusian tractors are an excellent solution for private family farms in Brazil.

The embassy also reported on the extended meeting of the Belarusian Ambassador and Brazilian Minister Paulo Teixeira with the participation of representatives of the governments of individual states, as well as the Brazilian partner of MTZ JSC, during which the discussion continued on the prospects for creating an assembly production of Belarusian tractor equipment in Brazil and inclusion in the agricultural development programmes of the Brazilian states.

“Belarus and Brazil are very similar, despite the distances, with both countries paying close attention to the development of agriculture. By the way, two Belarusian tractors – decorated in the national colours of Brazil at the request of the Brazilian side – will be demonstrated for a month before the Agrarian Development and Family Agriculture Ministry of this country,” Belarusian Ambassador to Brazil Sergei Lukashevich said in an interview with the sb.by reporter.
