Borrell: EU to increase defence spending by 70bn Euros in coming three years

The EU member states will increase their defence spending by 70bn Euros in the next three years – as informed by the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, TASS reports

“The [EU] member states will spend an additional 70bn Euros in the next 3 years to increase their capabilities,” Mr. Borrell said.

According to him, all EU countries should send to Ukraine all the ammunition they have at the moment, they will compensate them later.

Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, stated that pumping Ukraine with weapons does not contribute to the success of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations. According to him, such actions produce a negative effect.
