Borrell against Russia’s exclusion from G20

Excluding Russia from the Group of Twenty would not be consistent with the principle of multilateral relations – as stated by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, at the Raisina Dialogue conference on geopolitics and geo-strategy in New Delhi, TASS reports

Answering the question on whether it is possible to suspend Russia's membership in the G20 and continue to solve the current problems of the world after that, Mr. Borrell said, “You cannot say that you want to push for multilateralism and then ask Russia to go out of the G20. It is quite contradictory, no?"

Mr. Borrell also stated the need and ability to ‘listen to the others’.
