Bogodel: we’re saying goodbye to monopolar world
American hegemony has begun to burst at the seams, with the United States no longer knowing how to get out of this situation – as noted by Andrei Bogodel, the Deputy Head of the Faculty for Education and Science at the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, in his talk with SB BY
Speaking about the military conflicts occurring nowadays and the situation in the world as a whole, the expert noted, “As far as war and peace are concerned, this issue is quite complex. Let’s take a general look at the events taking place. Syria: the armed conflict continues. Africa: a series of coups d'etat and still unsettled issues. The same applies to the Middle East and Transcaucasia. Today, very serious questions are appearing in Central Asia. Ukraine: an ongoing conflict. <...> Very serious contradictions have arisen between Caracas and Georgetown. Now imagine if this happened, e.g., three or four years ago. Where would those carrier strike groups and everything else be today?”
Andrei Bogodel noted that against the backdrop of a difficult situation in the world, ‘the hegemon in the person of the United States suddenly began to remain silent’.
“It’s just silent, doesn’t act in any way. The US doesn’t understand what to do. So what is the most important thing happening currently in the world? The most important thing that is happening is that we are slowly beginning to say goodbye to the monopolar world. And today the United States is beginning to be pulled apart to one conflict, to another conflict, creating crisis situations. The United States has done the geopolitical splits. That is, by and large, today the countries that are building another world have taken away this military power and military capabilities of the United States with all its bases and fleets in such a way that the Anglo-Saxons do not know what to do now. The hegemon began to burst at the seams. The fact that today there is a transition from a monopolar to a polycentric world is the first, as they say, sprouts of the future world. This is the main achievement of 2023 and the coming 2024,” concluded Andrei Bogodel.
